I've been getting more into photography lately and taking my camera with me just about EVERYWHERE!!! Well a month or two ago... my old camera case broke. The Velcro strip that held it closed broke off. I finally decided I needed to get a new one. I told Todd that if I was going to get a new camera case then I wanted something cute, even if I had to pay a little extra money. Todd just kinda thought it was silly that I HAD to have a CUTE case for my camera. After much debating I bought a black camera case that has a VERY cute black and white inside. It ended up being a little bit more than I wanted to spend ($15) but it's so cute and I don't know anyone else that has it. So that makes it even more cute! I love it!

About a week ago, after the Asay reunion, Todd & I stayed at my sister Kari's new apartment. She is so excited to be moved into her new place.
After Kari got off work, she met up with us at the mall. Then we all went out to dinner. Kari picked up some food a Bajos (i think that is what it is called) and came with Todd & I to get food at A&W/KFC. After dinner we all went to see the movie "My Sister's Keeper." It was a pretty good movie. It had it's sad parts but overall it was a good movie.
After the movie we went back to Kari's apartment and we stayed up talking, while she showed us this cool oriental umbrella and fan that she had recently bought at a summer festival.

We had a fun time visiting with Kari & she is enjoying her apartment a lot!! She is most excited to be in her new apartment because she can have visitors stay the night. :)

Wow! It's so weird to see that my little sister is already graduating and this summer will be heading off to college. I know that is kind of a motherly thing to say, but she is my LITTLE sister.

On Friday, May 29, 2009, my younger sister, Britney graduated from high school. Britney was recognized at graduation for being in the top honors and involved with National Honor Society.

Britney was involved in many high school clubs through out high school including: National Honor Society, FCCLA, Upward Bound, Spanish Club, Dance Club, and a few more.

As long as I can remember Britney has been so smart! When she was little you couldn't ever find her NOT reading! And some days I would even ask her for help with MY homework. Britney is such a great little sister and I look up to her a lot!

Britney is planning on going to UVU in the fall and be roommates with two of her cousins. Britney is a wonderful young woman and I love her very much!! She works hard in everything that she does and is a good leader. Britney will make a wonderful wife and mother some day.

When I was little, my mom would always make cookies for us!!! However, many times when she would make cookies, a few minutes after putting in the flour we'd hear her say something like "WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE A MIXER THAT IS STRONG ENOUGH TO MIX COOKIE DOUGH!" Well I guess after many, many times of that, my dad got her a kitchen aid mixer (as a Christmas gift, I think).

Well after I grew up making cookies in my mom's kitchen aid mixer, I got married and well... I think I said about the same thing as my mom did. "TODD WHY CAN'T I GET A KITCHEN AID MIXER!?!!?"
Well after practically begging Todd for one for like EVER, we decided that I could get a kitchen aid mixer for the kitchen if he could get a big saw for working on projects. So, I took the deal! I wasn't going to wait around for Todd to change his mind and not let me get one of the amazing Kitchen Aid mixers!!!

So we ordered one and when it came, I MADE COOKIES!!! It is so wonderful to have a mixer that is "strong enough to mix cookie dough".

So I know I haven't blogged since forever! (St.Patrick's Day it looks like). So I decided I would do a short little blog. I decided I would blog about a few random facts about me.... weird things i hate.... pet peeves and such! So after you read mine, let me know yours. :)

Random thinks I HATE:

I HATE TOOTSIE ROLLS!!!!! .... don't get me wrong, i LOVE chocolate but it's not supposed to come in the chewy- taffy form. they are just flat out disgusting!!

I HATE BLONDES!!!... well just because... they are so air headed... and most are stuck ups and well guys always go for the them first & obviously there is no good reason to go for them first! (Lucky for me, Todd doesn't like blondes either).

I HATE THE TASTE OF ENVELOPES!!! ... Envelopes have the worst taste in the world! it's like your licking dried glue! it's so nasty! it seriously makes me gag!! (although some aren't as bad as others). But if companies are going to make envelopes that they want to make you lick it to stick it, then why don't they just make it flavored!!

I ALSO HATE CHEERLEADERS!!.... seriously, anyone can go out there and scream for their team! it's just a bunch of girls that want to wear short skirts in front of the entire school! (maybe i think this because i have been in a school that hasn't very often had many talented cheerleaders). But still, yelling "GO TEAM" or "2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate" doesn't take that much talent! Although maybe it's hard for some girls to move their mouths and arms at the same time... but seriously! It takes practice to do stunts and tumbling but... well not many cheerleaders around here can do that.

I HATE THAT SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT DANCE IS NOT A SPORT!!!!.... it takes a lot more practice than any other sport!!! It takes just as much muscle, energy, timing and so on! In fact, it's a lot harder than football or basketball or baseball or soccer! Dancing takes technique, practice, flexibility, timing, rhythm, showmanship and the list goes on! Football takes... umm.. running into someone and catching the ball; that's about it! If football is a sport than dance is DEFINITELY A SPORT!!! A wise man once said: "The real athletes perform at half time."
